How a school kit and a reading mentor changed one boy’s year.
Kwesi, 9, had missed most of a school year because his family couldn’t afford a uniform.
“Now I read stories to my little sister every night.”
Through the Back-to-School Drive he received a full kit and was paired with a volunteer reading mentor.
His teacher says he is now among the most eager readers in class.
