Ama’s new chapter
A young mother in Kumasi turns a sewing course into a thriving tailoring shop.
Ama was 22 with a baby and no steady income when she heard about ILOLISKA’s skills training at her local church.
“I came in with nothing but hope. I left with a skill no one can take from me.”
Over six months she learned tailoring and basic bookkeeping, and graduated with a sewing machine and fabric to start her own work.
Today Ama runs a small shop, employs one apprentice and pays her daughter’s school fees on her own.
